Between 20 and 26 July 2026, six videos were enough to occupy most of the global ranking, and every one of them announces something. San Diego Comic-Con, the restart of the video-game calendar and two streaming platforms concentrated their reveals into the same forty-eight hours. Here is the chronology of that week and what each announcement actually achieved.
01Avengers: Doomsday | Official Trailer | In Theaters December 18
Marvel Entertainment
The Avengers: Doomsday trailer opens the sequence with 48,068,780 views and a presence in 46 countries. Six days later it still ranks fifth worldwide and keeps the best average position in the chart at 5.2. Two American breakdown channels remain in the global top at the end of the week, proof the effect did not fade after forty-eight hours.
02Avatar: Seven Havens | Official Teaser | Paramount+ (SDCC 2026)
Avatar Legends
Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, the Avatar: Seven Havens teaser settles into 55 countries with 2,686,974 views. The convention works as a distribution accelerator: because the date is known to the world press, the video is picked up everywhere at once. It is the best coverage achieved this week by an animated series.
03EA SPORTS FC 27 | Official Reveal Trailer
EA SPORTS FC
On the same day EA unveils FC 27 and posts the week’s widest coverage: 64 countries for 3,603,055 views. The 7.6 average rank confirms a high entry almost everywhere from day one. No other announcement this week reached as many markets as quickly.
04RESIDENT EVIL – Official Trailer (4K)
Sony Pictures Entertainment
Still on 23 July, the Resident Evil trailer gathers 5,811,621 views across 50 countries. Three major announcements therefore shared one day without cancelling each other out, because they targeted three separate audiences: sport, animation and horror. In Japan the localised teaser ranks second nationally.
05The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power - Season 3 Teaser
Prime Video
The Rings of Power season three teaser collects only 232,062 views, yet it appears in 21 countries. The gap between those figures comes from distribution structure: each country receives its localised version, as in France and Brazil where separate channels carry the same teaser. The brand travels, the audience scatters.
06Blade Runner 2099 - Official Teaser | Prime Video
Prime Video
The week’s final announcement, the Blade Runner 2099 teaser, gathers 273,650 views across 14 countries. The score looks modest for a licence of that stature, but the series first addresses an adult science-fiction audience, smaller and more concentrated. Its presence in the global ranking remains notable for a teaser under two minutes posted on a Friday.
The week draws a clear hierarchy between three types of announcement. Established film franchises take the volume — 48 million views for Avengers: Doomsday — but across fewer countries. Cross-market brands, meaning games and animation universes, take the geography: 64 countries for EA Sports FC 27, 55 for Avatar: Seven Havens. Streaming-platform teasers take presence without audience, with 232,062 and 273,650 views for two major titles. That last point deserves emphasis. Prime Video places two teasers in the global ranking with counters fifty times smaller than a blockbuster’s, because distribution runs through separate national channels that split the audience. Being everywhere and being watched are not steered the same way, and the week of 20 July demonstrated it six times in a row.
