The Ten Slowest Charts in the World

Turnover — the share of a top 50 replaced from one day to the next — separates national charts more sharply than any other measure we collect. Over 25 daily snapshots taken between 26 July and 19 August 2026, the world average sits at roughly 42 per cent. Ten countries stay far below it, between 14 and 17 per cent, meaning eight or nine entries out of ten survive the night. These are the charts where a video can build a history. Below, each of the ten is represented by a long-standing entry from its own chart on 19 August, with its age counted from publication. In the fastest markets the oldest entry rarely exceeds three days. Here those ages run from 12 to 36.

1. Bulgaria — 14 per cent per day

Bulgaria replaces 14 per cent of its chart daily, the lowest figure of the 72 countries we track, and never exceeded 20 per cent in 25 days. Its oldest entry today is this trailer, published 27 days ago and still ranked 16th. The same video also survives in Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Ghana, Greece, Israel, Slovakia and Uruguay — eight of the nine countries where it charts belong to the slowest third of the world. A trailer with modest reach can stay visible for a month, provided it lands in the right markets.

Greece matches Bulgaria and holds its oldest entry at 29 days: not the Avengers trailer itself but a breakdown video commenting on it, ranked 49th. The Greek chart also gave a local music video a 28-day run during the period, and the Clayface trailer sits 40th after 27 days. Three separate month-old entries in one top 50 is not something the fast markets produce even once.

3. Croatia — 15 per cent per day

JELENA KARLEUŠA

Croatia holds the single longest run we recorded anywhere: 32 consecutive days for a Bosnian music video. Its oldest entry today, 49th, has been online for 35 days. The country turns over 15 per cent of its chart daily but touched 6 per cent on its quietest day, the lowest single reading of the entire dataset. On that day, three entries out of fifty changed.

4. Finland — 15 per cent per day

Finland turns over 15 per cent of its chart per day and gave this music video a 26-day run; it still holds 39th place there, 26 days after publication. Finland's own oldest entry today is the Clayface trailer at 43rd place. Finland, Norway and Denmark all fall within one point of each other on turnover, which suggests the Nordic pattern is structural rather than a matter of taste.

Al Shami - Baby [Official Music Video] (2026) / الشامي - بي بي05

5. Norway — 15 per cent per day, and 6. Denmark — 16 per cent

Norway and Denmark hold the same oldest entry, this Arabic-language music video, at 36th place in both and 36 days after publication. It also spent 27 days in the Swedish chart. Three Nordic markets, none of them Arabic-speaking, gave the same track the longest run in their respective lists. Slow charts do not merely preserve local content; they preserve whatever arrives, including audiences that national broadcasting never addresses.

7. Ghana — 16 per cent per day

Ghana keeps this music video at number one 12 days after publication, and it charts in no other country. Further down the same list, the Clayface trailer sits 50th after 27 days. Ghana is the case that rules out any income explanation for turnover: it sits two points from Denmark, while Denmark and neighbouring Germany are 63 points apart.

8. Slovakia — 16 per cent per day

Slovakia keeps this trailer at 31st place, 33 days after publication, and gave it a 29-day run. The country also held the Dune: Part Three trailer for 27 days. Two film trailers with no local connection occupying a national chart for a month each is only possible where the daily supply of new videos is small enough to leave the lower half of the list untouched.

9. Israel — 17 per cent per day

Israel closes the group at 17 per cent, with this track at number one five and a half days after publication and charting in no other country. Its oldest entry is a commentary video on the Avengers trailer, 40th after 29 days — the same video that Greece keeps at 49th. Two markets with nothing else in common preserve the same secondary content, because neither produces enough new video to bury it.

10. New Zealand — 17 per cent per day

Panj-aab Records

New Zealand replaces 17 per cent of its chart daily and its oldest entry, 46th today, is a Punjabi music video published 28 days ago that appears in no other country. A market of five million people keeps a diaspora release in its top 50 for a month, while much larger neighbours discard everything within 48 hours.

What the ten have in common

Avengers: Doomsday | Special Look | In Theaters December 18

Marvel Entertainment

This trailer, published four days ago, entered 49 of the 72 charts we track, including all ten countries listed above. Widely distributed content reaches slow and fast markets alike. The difference appears afterwards: in Brazil it will be gone within three days, in Bulgaria it can still be there in September. The same video therefore accumulates completely different visibility depending on where it lands, and no ranking position alone will tell you which case you are looking at.

The ten slowest charts share no language, no region and no income level. Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Ghana, Slovakia, Israel and New Zealand form a group only in this one respect. What they do share is a low daily volume of new local uploads, which leaves the bottom half of their top 50 essentially undisturbed from one week to the next. This has a practical consequence that the raw chart never states. In these markets, a single well-placed release keeps paying for weeks; in Brazil, Germany or the United Kingdom the same release is gone before the end of the week. Anyone measuring the effect of a campaign by counting days on chart is measuring the country far more than the campaign.
