Fortnite
By the TrendTube editorial team, using YouTube Data API snapshots. Our methodology
Two numbers describe a video's international standing, and they almost never point the same way. The first is reach: how many national charts it appears in on the same day. The second is volume: how many times it has been watched. In the snapshot of 19 August 2026, covering 1,985 distinct videos across 72 countries, the highest reach and the highest volume belong to different videos, and the gap between them is extreme. A Fortnite trailer holds 44 charts with 1.89 million views. A Stray Kids music video holds 18 charts with 48.4 million. One has been watched 25 times more than the other and appears in 26 fewer countries. That is not a rounding difference; it is a structural property of how the two formats travel, and it explains most of the composition of today's chart.
01Chapter 7 Season 4: Override | Official Trailer
Fortnite
Published on 16 August, this trailer appears in 44 of the 72 charts we track, with an average rank of 9.2 — better than almost anything else in the snapshot — and 1,889,715 views. Its audience is small but perfectly distributed: a game with simultaneous worldwide players produces simultaneous worldwide viewers, and 1.9 million people spread across 44 countries is enough to enter 44 top 50s. Nothing about this video is popular in the usual sense; it is merely everywhere at once.
02Stray Kids "This & That" M/V
JYP Entertainment
The same snapshot holds this music video at 48,389,226 views — the highest figure in the entire dataset — appearing in 18 countries with an average rank of 23.1. Twenty-five times the audience of the Fortnite trailer, and 26 fewer charts. A K-pop release concentrates enormous viewing in a defined set of markets rather than spreading a thin layer everywhere.
03Whatever You Hide As, You Keep!
MrBeast Gaming
MrBeast Gaming sits between the two, with 23,586,961 views in 36 countries at an average rank of 14.5. Creator channels are the only category that scores well on both axes, and the reason is that their audience is genuinely international and genuinely large at the same time. That combination is rare: only four videos in today's snapshot exceed 30 countries.
04Avengers: Doomsday | Special Look | In Theaters December 18
Marvel Entertainment
Marvel's Special Look leads on reach with 49 countries and holds 29.8 million views, at an average rank of 4.6 — the best combined performance of the day. Studios buy both axes with a simultaneous global release and a translation budget. What they cannot buy is duration: the previous trailer for the same film held charts for a month, but only in the slow markets, and it is now gone from all 72.
05KATSEYE (캣츠아이) 'Hootie Frutti' Official MV
HYBE LABELS
This pop video, at 23.6 million views and 46 countries, currently holds first place in Greece, Norway, Denmark and Switzerland. It was published on 14 August, one day before the Marvel piece. Reach and volume both decay, but not at the same speed: reach collapses within days as the release wave passes, while views keep accumulating. A video measured a week apart can look like two different objects.
Reach and volume answer different questions, and using one for the other produces systematic errors. Reach measures distribution: how many territories a release was pushed into at the same hour. Volume measures attention: how many people chose to watch. A trailer buys the first with money and a release calendar; a music video earns the second and rarely needs translation. Today's snapshot contains 1,985 distinct videos, and 1,537 of them — 77 per cent — appear in exactly one country. Against that background, reaching 44 charts is a genuinely rare event, even at 1.9 million views. The mistake would be to read that as popularity. The Fortnite trailer is not 25 times less watched than Stray Kids because it failed; it is a different kind of object, doing a different job, and the chart counts both with the same yardstick.
